Matthew Fisher, MA, LPCC
Pronouns: he/him
Hi, I am Matthew Fisher, I'm a therapist serving the Boulder and surrounding communities. My own journey through substance abuse and mental health struggles as a young adult is what drove me to this field and fuels my passion for helping others navigate their darkest moments. In my practice, I specialize in working with teen, adults and families, navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence of all kinds.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and mind-body focused. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic frameworks into our sessions. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, I also weave mindfulness techniques directly into the healing process. I love bringing creativity into my clinical work, which includes designing Fantasy Adventure Therapy and Dungeons & Dragons curriculums specifically tailored for adolescents.
Beyond individual sessions, I am passionate about community building and mental health advocacy. I am also an author and speaker and have shared my insights on the TEDx stage and on Colorado Public Radio's Back from Broken. Ultimately, my goal is to use both my professional training and personal experience to create a grounded, authentic space where you can build deep self-trust and resilience.
